    Tom Gattiker is a certified lean six sigma black belt who teaches supply chain management at Boise State University.  Before obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia (2000), Gattiker held a variety of industry positions in operations and inventory management, most recently at Rockwell Automation/Reliance Electric. His research interests are in sustainable business and in the application of information systems to operations and supply chain problems. Tom is a “process person” who has done process development and improvement with a numerous for profit and not for profit organizations including, Boise Global Gardens, Jannus Economic Opportunity, Jesse Tree, Boise Bicycle Project, Boise State University and Micron.  He enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family and friends and playing his guitar really loud.

My wife, Kelsie, and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary in April of 2025 and have two daughters. I enjoy playing and watching sports, watching and reading action thrillers, and doing outdoors activities with my family.”
